Families often need wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, bedside commodes, and other durable medical equipment (DME) to support a loved one at home. Carolina's Connections does not sell, prescribe, or provide medical equipment — but we want to help you find the right information.
Depending on eligibility, prescription or physician order requirements, coverage rules, and the individual's specific plan, Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, VA benefits, or community programs may cover certain medically necessary equipment. Coverage is never guaranteed and varies by individual circumstances.
Always consult with the individual's physician, insurance provider, or benefits coordinator to understand what may be covered under their specific plan.
